01/05: + .5kg (1.1lbs)

08/05: -1.1kg (2.4lbs)
15/05: -0.1kg (.2lbs)

Total loss so far: 3.5kg (8.8lbs) in 6 weeks.

A measly 100 gram loss this week, but after a pretty big loss last week I’m happy with that. I know my weight fluctuates daily, and I’m guessing today is just one of those days where I’m holding more weight.

It’s funny, I’m not discouraged at all by the small number. Six weeks of effort have really paid off in non scale victories, not just with how my clothes fit, but in the change to my appetite and the type of foods I’m wanting to eat.

Can’t wait for next week’s results.

I might have to say no to things like the beautiful pudding pictured for a little while, and I might have to work extra hard to stay motivated when I gain a little weight, but as long as I don’t give up, I know I’ll reach my goal.

Being sensible continues

I saw a number on the scale this morning that I haven’t seen in a very long time.

Even with my back injury (more on that later) and no exercise, eating well has resulted in a other half kilo loss this week. The last time I saw that number on the scale was over a year ago.

Just being aware of my intake and tweaking my choices is really working. Slow and steady wins the race, after all.

Ok guys, time to turn this train around.

I have been maintaining my weight brilliantly for the last couple of months. If only I was at my goal weight! Time to start tracking again.

Daily weigh ins just don’t work for me, I get too attached to that number and daily fluctuations are not good for my self esteem but I find weekly works, so here goes:

I’m still too afraid to post the actual number, so instead:

16 kilos (35.2lbs) to get to Goal Weight 1

Goal Weight 1 is the weight I remember being comfortable at. I may still have a few kilos to lose after that, but I was confident and besides being in a bathing suit, I was happy with myself in most types of clothes.

My ultimate goal weight is probably 5 kilos lighter than that, but I’m not concentrating on that right now for two reasons:

1. 21kg just seems SO much more to lose than 16kg. If I break it down it seems more achievable.

2. I am weight training now, chances are my GW1 will actually achieve the body shape/type that I am looking for, and I won’t need to lose that last 5 kilos. I build muscle pretty easily so I’m expecting to lose the 16kg slowly, as I shed the fat and build the muscle.

Measurements to come in the next few days, I expect to see more results through shedding inches rather than pounds so I need to start tracking this too.

Here I go!

Starting Weight:                15kg (33lbs) overweight
Last week’s weight:            12.6kg (27.8lbs) overweight
Current weight:                  11.8kg (26lbs) overweight
Weight loss this week:        0.8 kg (1.8lbs)
Total weight loss:               3.2kg (7lbs)

Phew! After getting back to basics I have lost almost all the weight I put on last week, in just one week! Normally it takes me two or three weeks to get over a bad patch, but I think focussing on my intake has got me back on track a lot faster than I thought.

I haven’t been great with the exercise this week, I actually missed my workout on Tuesday morning all together, and Monday’s run was pretty pathetic, but as we all know, exercise doesn’t fix a poor diet so I decided to prioritise and concentrate on food for the week. I’m usually hungrier on the days I workout so I knew that would make it harder to stick to my eating goals.

Tomorrow I’m back out pounding the pavement. And I can’t wait.

Last week’s weight:            11.6kg (25.6lbs) overweight
Current weight:                  12.6kg (27.8lbs) overweight
Weight loss this week:        +1 kg (2.2lbs)
Total weight loss:               2.4kg (5.3lbs)

After last night’s post, not much more to be said. I need to stop losing and gaining the same couple of kilos, this is really bad for my mental state.

Starting Weight:                15kg (33lbs) overweight
Last week’s weight:            12.2kg (26.9lbs) overweight
Current weight:                  11.6kg (25.6lbs) overweight
Weight loss this week:        0.6kg (1.3lbs)
Total weight loss:               3.4kg (7.4lbs)

YES!! Another loss! Exactly the same amount as last week too. So now I just need to be extra careful. I have a habit of losing for two weeks in a row, thinking I know everything, slacking off and then putting almost all of it back on the next week.

Ain’t gonna happen this week. Mark my words.

Three for three next Wednesday, bring it!

On a related point, I have been this weight already in my journey, but I feel smaller. I think all the weight training is starting to pay off. I really need to get that tape measure and start tracking size as well.

Last week’s weight:            12.8kg (28.2lbs) overweight
Current weight:                  12.2kg (26.9lbs) overweight
Weight loss this week:     0.6kg (1.3lbs)
Total weight loss:                2.8kg (6.1lbs)

FINALLY. A LOSS.

Or rather, I should say finally, Amy got her shizz together and started eating right again. After 2 weeks of gaining, I’m back into losing mode.

My biggest downfall: Friday nights. I started a terrible habit of ‘treating’ myself on a Friday night at the end of a long week, which would lead me on a spiral down into terrible eating over the entire weekend. Eating that couldn’t be rectified on Monday and Tuesday to bring me to an overall loss for the week. I reigned it in last weekend. Not completely, but enough to make a difference. This week I stay on track ALL week and see how much better the result will be.

I know how to do this. I WILL do this.

Starting Weight:                 15kg (33lbs) overweight
Last week’s weight:            11.6kg (25.5lbs) overweight
Current weight:                   11.9kg (26.2lbs) overweight
Weight loss this week:    + 0.3kg (0.7lbs)
Total weight loss:                3.1kg (6.8lbs)

Well, that’s better than I expected actually. Less than a pound gained after the terrible couple of days I had at the end of the week.  Migraine + overeating - exercise for two days and only .3kg gain.

I think it’s because I allowed myself to take a break, didn’t beat myself up about slacking off a little, and got right back on track once I was better. Success!

This morning’s run was another success:

3.71km, 24:47, 6:41/km average pace

Splits 6:18, 6:38, 6:57, 6:55

Oh yeah! PR on the average pace! AND for the first time ever, every kilometre was under 7 minutes! I’ve averaged under 7 for an entire run before, but at least 1 or 2k will be slightly over.

I did the route that has a 1k slight hill too. It’s by no means a steep climb, but it tests my stamina and I’ve never been able to complete the loop without stopping to walk before. Until today.

This is why I’m LOVING running at the moment. I am so bad, I get a PR pretty much every time I run!

There is something to be said for being a beginner after all.

Last week’s weight:            12.3kg (27.05lbs) overweight
Current weight:                   11.6kg (25.5lbs) overweight
Weight loss this week:     0.7kg (1.5lbs)
Total weight loss:                3.4kg (7.5lbs)

This is the third week in a row of consistent loss, I think I must be doing something right.

Nothing much else to say other than I’m just going to keep on doing what I’m doing until it doesn’t work any more!
